Infrared Filter Hot Mirror2 magnetic clip for Nikon Z Full Frame

Featuring an aluminum frame with small built-in magnets, the UV/IR Cut Hot Mirror Magnetic Clip-in Filter for Nikon Z from Kolari Vision secures magnetically to the camera lens mount, and your lens then mounts on top. The filter sits securely between the camera and lens. It's compatible with full frame Nikon Z-mount cameras.

The filter is designed to normalize your camera when it has either a full spectrum or two-spectrum modification. In either case, it allows light to pass normally to the sensor, so you can shoot normal photos.

The filter can only be used with a modified camera. A spectrum-modified camera is one in which the camera's native low-pass filter was removed in order to support certain IR filters for IR photography. If you have such a camera, this hot mirror filter will let you take normal photos without having to make any changes to the spectrum modification. The filter blocks IR light and some UV light, the same way the native low-pass filter that was removed from the camera during modification would have. The filter requires no exposure compensation.

The filter material is glass. A small removal tool is included but not required. The compact tool looks like a guitar pick and is included just in case, as the filter can easily be removed by hand.

Note: This filter is for spectrum-modified cameras only.

Compatibility

• Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II
• Nikon Z5, Z6, Z7, and Z9-due to a weaker magnetic force within these four compatible cameras, the filter has to be attached while the camera is laid on its back, with the lens mount facing up. After the filter is secured magnetically and the lens is mounted, the filter will stay firmly in place, and you can then freely move the camera.
